In order to facilitate adherence to the statements made in the Notice, the Board of Directors hereby adopts the following procedures with regard to access to the Membership Database.  Only members of the New Orleans Paralegal Association Board of Directors and those committee members who require the information to perform a specific task (for example, membership, communications and distribution) are granted access to the Membership Database. Generally, only the Co-Chairs of the Membership Committee and the President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Primary NFPA Representative, Secondary NFPA Representative and the Board Advisor should have access to the database. Additionally, the Board acknowledges that, by default, the Webmaster of any or all NOPA websites may have access to member information.

Per the bylaws adopted by the General Membership on September 17, 2011, each committee is assigned a Board of Directors advisor/liaison.  At all times practical, committee access to membership contact information should be accessed by the Board Advisor and/or Liaison.  Should direct access to the database by any other committee member become necessary, the Board of Directors shall make a determination during either a scheduled board meeting or an executive session of the board regarding access to the database (e.g., email addresses to be used for invitation extended through LinkedIn or other social networking sites, previous seminar attendees and/or sponsors for contact by the Seminar Committee for future seminar participation, etc.). In order to maintain the integrity of the Privacy Notice, these exceptions should be rare.
